Case Study

Emma Ray for Teton County Commissioner

How to build a seriously good campaign website.

Shortly after Emma Ray decided to run Teton County Commissioner, she contacted Kicky Creative to complete the following design work.

Light blue star for Kicky Creative branding.

For this project, Kicky Creative designed

Fuchsia circle with white checkmark.

A bright, happy logo that would attract young people and encourage them to vote.

An upbeat website with modern colors and fun design work.

Print designs such as yard signs, door hangers, flyers, and ads.

Emma wanted the design work to do several things:

Light blue star for Kicky Creative branding.
Fuchsian circle with white star inside.

Appeal to first-time voters or people who might disengaged or feel discouraged from voting by the current political climate.

Have some fun, happy colors combined with modern design to appeal to younger single voters or those with families.

Be inclusive of and sensitive to the many different people who now call Teton Valley, Idaho home.

Emma Ray's style tile, which is a mood board with campaign colors, font, and custom icons for her website.

My first task was to create a quick style tile that would guide everything she needed for her political campaign: a logo, website, and print designs.

The colors we chose were meant to be highly visible and quite different from her opponent. And in order to make the yard sign, she needed a color palette and logo that would stand out.

Next, I designed a logo package for her. We used her logo for her yard signs, website, social media, letterhead, stickers, door hangers, and mailers.

Making this website and completing all the design work for Emma Ray’s campaign was a rewarding and fulfilling design project!
